ALAMOSA — Summer is officially underway at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the San Luis Valley, and across all six sites, kids are diving into adventure, creativity, and connection.
From Crestone to San Luis, our Clubs are alive with energy as members explore hands-on learning, outdoor play, arts, STEM, and more. Programs are now open in Alamosa, Crestone, Saguache, Blanca/Fort Garland, San Luis, Antonito, and the Alamosa Teen Center — each offering a mix of structured activities, field trips, and summertime joy.
In Alamosa, the Club is buzzing with activity as the Teen Center launches career readiness and creative media programming. In Saguache and Crestone, youth are digging into garden projects and nature-based play. Blanca and Fort Garland are bringing back Club favorites like water days and art labs. Antonito’s kids are taking part in community-based projects, while San Luis is launching cultural storytelling and outdoor exploration.
The Michael Phelps Foundation has given us the ability to once again provide kids and teens with the foundation’s signature IM program. This program offers a multifaceted lineup of water safety instruction, recreational aquatic activities, structured and organized swimming, health, wellness, and goal-setting education.
Through a valued partnership with the Alamosa School District, all Alamosa Club members receive free breakfast and lunch daily, ensuring that every child is fueled and ready to thrive.
There’s still time to join the fun. Openings remain at several sites, and registration information is available at bgcslv.org. Contact any club site for additional information about summer programs.
Want to support a summer full of memories for a child? Our Give a Kid a Summer Camp campaign is raising funds to sponsor over 200 weeks of camp this season. Just $125 sends a child to camp for an entire week. Donate at coloradogives.org/story/Ee57dg.
Summer at The Club is more than fun — it’s safety, mentorship, and magic. Let’s make it count.
