ALAMOSA — VITA Tax Help is a program that provides free, secure and confidential preparation and e-filing of federal and state income taxes. Expert staff from VITA will help you file your taxes 1-on-1 for free! You must make an appointment to use this service – contact Colorado 211 by just dialing 2-1-1.
Please make one appointment for each tax return you have to file. VITA staff will be helping people on the following dates and times:
February 23-25 from 9am-6pm
February 26 from 9am-2:30pm,
February 27 from 9am-6pm
March 23-25 from 9am-6pm,
March 26 from 9am-2:30pm,
March 27 from 9am-6pm
Here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
A Photo ID for all adults. (Required)
Social Security Cards (or ITINs) for all family members. Proof of Foreign status if applying for an ITIN. (Required)
Identity Protection PIN letters (if issued) for any family members. (Required)
All W-2s, 1099s, and any other income-related documents.
Proof of mortgage interest, property taxes, daycare payments, charitable contributions, and all other tax-deductible expenses.
A copy of last year’s tax return, if available.
Your bank account number and bank routing number to direct deposit your refund.
