MOSCA – Mosca Motorsports Park hosted its Father’s Day show, as well as the IMCA Colorado Alliance Tour, on Sunday.
There were eight divisions that performed with 41 cars entered.
After the qualifying heats, the division main events took place.
The sport mods were first on the track with six cars competing. Only three of the cars completed the 15-lap race with Chad Green of Dolores winning. Jason Richey of Salida was second, and Christina Ratzlaff of Monte Vista finishing in third place.
The stock cars were next with four cars on the track. All four cars completed the race with Frank Ogden of Coaldale winning. Tony Hill of Cortez was second, Layne Bellm was third, and Phil Reid of Longmont was fourth.
Next were the IMCA modified race with five cars enters. Four of the cars finished the race with Troy Seidel of Cheyenne, Wyo., taking the checkered flag. Jackson Harpole of Farmington, N.M., was second, Matthew Ratzlaff of Monte Vista was third, and Jason Kirkpatrick of Mosca was fourth.
Then warriors ran next with four cars entered and three completing the race. Wayne Ogden of Howard finished first, followed by Sid Tenney, and Timmy Dawson of Monte Vista was third.
Next on the track were the IMCA hobby stocks with three cars entered and all three finishing the race. Brayson Siegle of Pueblo West was the winner, followed by Gordon French of La Junta, and Evan Ray of Ignacio.
The next race featured the IMCA sport compacts with seven cars starting and five cars finishing. Katie Barthel of Ignacio won the race, followed by another Ignacio driver, Cody Witcher. Jayden Small of Mancos was third, followed by Melanie Robinson, and Makan Quintana of Sanford.
The junior modifieds, which featured drives ages 7-13, was the next race. Three cars entered and all three finished the race. Martin Adams of Trinidad won the race despite spinning late in the race. Lucas Dobrovoly of Pueblo was second and Adams’ sister, Elena, was third.
The final race was the dwarfs/mod-lite division. Nine cars entered with five finishing the race. Joe Esquibel of Monte Vista won, followed by Ben Gunnels of Carlin, Nev., Nina Esquibel of Monte Vista, Jerry Nusbaum of Del Norte, and Kip McCormick of Alamosa.
The next races will take place on July 11.
