Dino Mario Arellano, a lifelong resident of Alamosa, Colorado, passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born on November 29, 1966.
Dino graduated from Alamosa High School and dedicated many years of service as a custodian for Alamosa Public Schools, where he became well known and appreciated throughout the community.
Dino enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He was an avid football fan and proudly supported both the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Montoya Arellano; his children, Dino Jr. Arellano, Devon (Chelsea) Arellano, his step children; Faith Arellano, Marissa Arellano, Chelissa (Tom) Herrera, and Whitley (Monolito) Tail; his siblings, Jessie (Paula) Medina, Evie (Selina) Medina, Dominic (Susan Salas) Medina, and Alonzo Arellano; as well as his beloved grandchildren; Jaelynn, Asiarain, Julianna, Nemesio, Tylie, Elleana, Arisa, Aylanna, Kham, and Danilo along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barolin Arellano and Elvinia Medina; his son, DeAngelo Arellano; his sister, Betty Arellano; and his brother, Tommy Arellano.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers Mortuary, 205 State Avenue, Alamosa, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Dino’s life while sharing memories of the kindness, generosity, and love he showed to so many.
