DEL NORTE – Del Norte High School hosted the annual Southern League League Meet on Satruday with the home field being very good for the Tigers as they swept both the boys and girls championships.
Del Norte
Del Norte easily won the boys meet with 171 points. The Tigers had three athletes win championships and were led by Mads Kreutzer who won three events. He won the 800-meter run in 2:08.82, the 1,600 In 4:49.54 and the 3,200 in 11:49.56.
Also winning league championships were Brendan Hemmerling in the 200-meter dash in 24.00 and Damon Ledford-Vigil in the pole vault at 13-5.
Hemmerling was also second in the triple jump at 37-7 ½ and third in the 100 in 11.87, while Ledford-Vigill was second in the 400 in 53.96 and second in the high jump at 5-8.
Also placing for the Tigers were Landon Crowder who was second in the 3,200 in 11:51.42, Corbin Horrocks who was second in the pole vault at 11-11, Jose Pinon who was third in the pole vault at 9-5, Calvin Quintana who was third in the shout put at 42-8 and fourth in the discus at 123-3 ½, Cruz Matta who was fourth in the 1,600 in 5:23.29, Lionel Villasenor ho was third in the 800 in 2:13.45 and fourth in the high jump at 5-2, Jaxtin Lester who was fourth in the 800 in 2:13.58, Liam Griffin who was fifth in the pole vault at 8-5, and Paxton Rister who tied for seventh in the high jump at 4-8.
The Tigers also placed in all four relays including a win in the 4x800 in 9:14.25. They were also second in the 4x200 in 1:37.89, second in the 4x400 in 3:51.53, and third in the 4x100 in 51.44.
The Del Norte girls scored 112 points and were led by Scarlett Maxwell who won the 3,200 in 12:41.16 and was second d in the 1,600 in 5:50.83.
Other Tiger girls placers included Madeline Mitchell who tied for second in the pole vault at 8-11 and was third in the 800 in 2:49.74, Faith Crowder who was third in the 3,200 in 14:28.32 and fifth in the 800 in 2:57.45, Indie Howe who was third in the 100-meter high hurdles in 18.92 and fourth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 52.70, Haedyn Graham who was fourth in the shot put at 27-11 and seventh in the discus at 90-8 ½, Taylor Off who tied for fourth in the high jump at 4-8, Brianna Kaufman Brigham who was fifth in the 1,600 in 6:35.99 and seventh in the 800 in 3:00.91, Emma Parra who was fifth in the triple jump at 29-9 ½, Elena Consaul who was sixth in the high jump at 4-2, Makenzie Consaul who tied for sixth in the pole vault at 7-5, and K’loey Kent who was seventh in the 400 in 1:20.37.
The Del Norte girls also placed in all four relays including winning the 4x400 in 4:29.12. They were second in the 4x200 in 1:54.69, second in the 4x800 in 13:37.62, and third in the 4x100 in 56.65.
Alamosa
The Alamosa boys finished fifth with 54 points. Placing for the Mean Moose were Alejandro Aragon who was third in the 200 in 24.56, fourth in the 200 in 24.70 and eighth in the 100 in 12.13, Braydon Sieczkowski who was third in the high jump at5-6 and eighth in the 400 in 58.57, Alexander Diego-Pablo who was fourth in the 100 in 11.92 and sixth in the 400 in 57.69, Andy Hernandez who was sixth in the 800 in 2:21.65 and sixth in the 1,600 in 5:28.65, Brandon Lewis who was fifth in the 400 in 56.52, Teddy Matson who was fifth in the 300 hurdles in 50.70 and seventh in the 110 hurdles in 20.55, Gabriel Mora who was fifth in the 200 in 24.80 and seventh in the 100 in 12.12, and Jaiden Cranson who was sixth in the triple jump at 31-2 and seventh in the high jump at 4-8.
The Alamosa girls finished fourth with 77 points and had three champions in Brooklyn Boehm who won the shot put at 32-6, Timay Garcia who won the pole vault at 9-5, and Brandi Garrison who won the discus at 115-9 ½. Boehm was also fifth in the discus at 92-8, and Garrison was third in the shot put at 29-1.
Other Alamosa girls placers included Alicia Gonzalez who tied for second in the long jump at 15-2 ½, Braelyn Martinez who tied for second in the pole vault at 8-11, Shayla Maker who was fourth in the 800 in 2:57.39 and sixth in the 400 in 1:14.69, Amelia Martinez who was fifth in the pole vault at 7-11, Abbey Crowther who tied for sixth in the pole vault at 7-5, Catherine Nolasco who was sixth in the 1,600 in 7:10.79, and Gizelle Meraz who was sixth in the discus at 91-3, eighth in the pole vault at 6-11 and eighth in the shot put at 26-6.
Centauri
The Centauri boys took third place with 92 points and had three champions. Diego Cortez won the discus, 132-8, Dallyn King won the 100 in 11.27, and Ben Norton won the 110 hurdles in 16.56. Cortez was also fifth in the shot put at 39-8.
Also placing for the Falcons were Blake Johnson who was second in the shot put at 45-5, Austin Norton who was second in the 300 hurdles in 46.11 and fifth in the 110 hurdles in 19.08, Lincoln Bagwell who was third in the 1,600 in 4:57.14, Durant Gilleland who was third the long jump at 18-7 ½, Gavin Graber who was fifth in the 1,600 in 5:26.35 and seventh in the 800 in 2:30.70, Dorian Quintana who was sixth in the discus at 115-11, Joseph Gray who was seventh in the long jump at 17-7 ¼, Sage Harmsen who was seventh in the 300 hurdles in 576.67, Mason Weyers who was seventh in the 1,600 in 5:32.51, and Graham Hunzeker who was eighth in the shot put at 35-5.
The Falcons also won the 4x400 in 3:35.69.
The Centauri girls were third with 87 points. And had three champions in Bailey Graber who won the 400, in 1:04.73, Alyvia Norton who won the high jump at 5-2, and Mckenzie Torrtes who won the 800 in 2:36.16. Graber was also fourth in the 1,600 in 6:01.28.
Also placing for the Falcons were Analynn Dwyer who was second in the 200 in 28.65, third in the high jump at, 4-10, fourth in the 100 in 13.76 and fifth in the long jump at 14-6, Sydney Haslett who was second in the high jump at 5-0, fourth in the discus at 92-11 ½ and eighth in the 200 in 30.22, Brooklyn Shawcroft who was fourth in the pole vault at 8-5 and eighth in the triple jump at 28-9 ½, Genesi Morris who was sixth in the triple jump at 29-8, and Elena Reed who was eighth in the 400 in 1:21.17.
The Centauri girls also took fourth in the 4x100 in 57.93.
Centennial
The Centennial girls took 14th place with five points. The Rams’ only placer was Rowan Hubbard who was fourth in the 100 hurdles in 24.19.
Center
The Center boys were sixth with 46 points and they had two champions in Yanixan Padilla who won the long jump at 18-11 ½, and Anjel Palma who won the triple jump at 38-1.
Other placers for the Vikings were Michael Archuleta who was fifth in the 100 in 12.07, Derriq Thompson who was fifth in the discus at 119-11, Frankie Garcia who was sixth in the 100 in 12.10, and Cristian Badachi who tied for eighth in the long jump at 17-4 ½.
The Center boys placed in all four relays including a win in the 4x800 in 12:40.59. They were also second in the 4x800 in 10:53.75, second in the 4x400 in 4:31.44, and third in the 4x400 in 3:56.81.
The Center girls took second place with 98 points and had three champions in Becklynn Bogner who won the 300 hurdles in 50.67, Oceana Garcia who won the 100 in 13.49, and Maya Swanson who won the triple jump at 31-4 ½. Swanson also tied for sixth in the long jump at 14-1 ½l
Also placing for the Vikings were Sofia Valdez who was second in the shot put at 29-6, Charli Martinez who was third in the 400 in 1:08.17, Shyanne Suazo who was fifth in the 400 in 1:12.11, Jaylah Martinez who was sixth in the 800 in 3:00.05, Landry Neufeld who was sixth in the 300 hurdles in 59.19, Nayeli Pablo who was seventh in the 1,600 in 7:12.52, Alyciana Lujan who was eighth in the 100 in 14.06, and Emiliana Valdez who was eighth in the discus at 89-9.
Center also won two girls relays. They won the 4x100 in 53.70 and the 4x200 in 1:54.18.
Creede
The Creede girls finished ninth with 24 points. The Miners had two placers in Ava Mankoiwski who was second in the 300 hurdles in 51.53, third in the discus at 93-0 and fifth in the shot put at 26-10 ½, and Paisley Anderson who tied for fourth in the high jump at 4-8 and was seventh in the shot put at 26-7.
The Creede boys did not score.
Moffat
The Moffat boys were seventh with 24 points. Leading the Cowboys were Diego Fries who was third in the 400 in 55.62 and sixth in the long jump at 17-9, Cashel Johnson who was third in the discus at 125-2, Chase Shellabarger who was fourth in the shot put at 40-0 and eighth in the discus at 112-9 ½, and Tanner Shellabarger who was sixth in the high jump at 4-10.
The Moffat girls placed fifth with 46 points and were led by Kandra Pollard who won the 200 in 27.84 and the long jump at 15-11 ¼. She was also second in the 100 in 13.55.
Also placing for the cowboys were Shauna Pollard who was second in the 400 in 1:07.61, and Bella Cohen who was fourth in the 200 in 29.19 and fourth in the 400 in 1:11.14.
Monte Vista
The Monte Vista boys took second place with 93 points. Placing for the Pirates were Cristian Hernandez who was second in the 110 hurdles in 18.49 and second in the long jump at 18-7 ¾, Azariah Hurtado who was second in the 100 in 11.33, John Jake Naranjo who was second in the discus at 126-0 ½, fourth in the triple jump at 37-0 and sixth in the shot put at 39-1, Ezaiah Archuleta who was third in the 110 hurdles in 18.76, third in the triple jump at 37-7 and fifth in the long jump at 17-11 ¼, Haven Heredia who was fourth in the 300 hurdles in 49.18 and eighth in the 1,600 in 5:33.59, Johnathan Samora who was fourth in the 400 in 56.33, Bryson Paulsen who was sixth in the 200 in 24.92 and seventh in the 400 in 58.36, and William Walker who was eighth in the 800 in 2:35.41.
The Pirates also won the 4x100 in 46.09, and the 4x200 in 1:34.16.
The Monte Vista girls placed eighth with 26 points and had a single champion in Olyvia Wofford who won the 100 hurdles in 18.06.
Also placing for the Pirates were Elena Baumgardner who was second in the triple jump at 31-1 ½ and seventh in the 100 in 14.04, and Reminee Mascarenas who was third in the 100 in 13.67.
Sanford
The Sanford boys took fourth place with 68 points and had three champions. Blake Miller won the 300 hurdles in 46.00; Kaulen Miller won the high jump at 5-10, and Kailain Sanford won the shot put at 45-9 ½. Blake Miller was also fifth in the triple jump at 33-6 ½ and sixth in the 110 hurdles in 19.81, and Kaillain Sanford was seventh in the discus at 115-8.
Other Mustang placers include Huntley Duran who was second in the 200 in 24.54, Jayden Fairhurst who was fourth in the high jump at 5-0 and sixth in the 300 hurdles in 51.68, Ryan Cordova who was seventh in the shot put at 35-6, Wheeler Larson who was seventh in the triple jump at 29-10, Kaden Cary who was eighth in the 200 in 25.17, and Ryan McCarroll who was eighth in the 110 hurdles in 22.07 and eighth in the 300 hurdles in 58.15.
The Mustangs placed in three relays. They were second in the 4x100 in 48.11, third in the 4x200 in 1:40.41, and fourth in the 4x400 in 4:14.93.
The Sanford girls placed sixth with 35 points. Leading the Mustangs were Bella Peterson who was third in the 200 in 28.71, Kasey Gylling who was fifth in the 100 in 13.84 and sixth in the 20 in 29.71, Pepper Larson who was fifth in the 200 in 29.28, Julia Reynolds who was sixth in the shot put at 26-9, and Kiera Ruggles who was eighth in the 800 in 3:03.05.
Sanford was also second in the girls 4x100 relay in 54.70, and third in the 4x200 in 1:56.21.
Sangre de Cristo
The Sangre de Cristo boys placed ninth with 18 points and were led by Brody Artaechevarria who won the 400 in 53.92.
Also placing for the Thunderbirds were Asher Allington who was fourth in the pole vault at 8-11, and Arlyss Anderson who was sixth in the pole vault at 6-11.
The Sangre girls finished 13th with eight points and had one placer in Taylor Freel who was second in the discus at 95-5.
Sierra Grande
The Panther boys had two placers in Aden Gallegos who was fourth in the long jump at 18-3 ¾ and Daylan Santillano who tied for eighth in the long jump at 17-4 ½.
Sierra Grande was also fourth in the boys 4x100 in 1:47.46.
The Sierra Grande girls also had two placers in Eneria Quintana who was fourth in the long jump at 14-10, fourth in the triple jump at 30-1 and seventh in the 200 in 29.72, and Emma Laugen who was eighth in the long jump at 13-10.
Sierra Grande was also fifth in the girls 4x100 in 58.00.
