According to their website, CRHDC was established in 1971. CRHDC was developed originally as part of the Colorado Migrant Council, to help with unfavorable living conditions for migrant and seasonal agriculture workers that lived in Colorado for a time.
The organization's venture has since grown to address all types of housing needs, and to assess different building opportunities that may arise in both rural and urban communities around the state of Colorado. CRHDC, prides itself on taking on a more sustainable approach in delivering their services, by comprising new lines of businesses, that engage residents and their communities with stable housing and financial development efforts that are more suitable for different areas.
To date CRHDC has worked in over 30 different counties in Colorado. CRHDC has also supervised and overseen the establishment of more than 200 self-help-built homes, for people who have low to moderate financial stability. To date, CRHDC has also erected over 500 units for agriculture workers and over 300 units of budget-friendly multi- housing units across the state.
CRHDC can offer information on counseling and education for people who are interested in owning their own homes. CRHDC can also help people obtain and find lenders, who are budget friendly and offer affordable mortgage options to people who are interested in obtaining their own homes. CRHDC also can offer affordable opportunities for rental units, statewide. You too can develop and obtain affordable home ownership opportunities through CRHDC.
