ALAMOSA – The annual Alamosa 18U baseball tournament will take place this coming weekend at Ortega Middle School.
There are six teams is this year’s tournament with the teams divided into two three-team pools.
Pool A will consist of Alamosa, Monte Vista and Taos (N.M.) and it will be played on the north field. Pool B will have Bayfield, Buena Vista and Center and it will be played on the south field.
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday with Alamosa playing Monte Vista and Center playing Buena Vista.
At 12:30 p.m., Monte Vista will play Taos, and Bayfield will play Buena Vista.
The final games on Friday will begin at 3 p.m. with Alamosa taking on Taos and Center facing Bayfield.
The tournament concludes on Saturday. At 10 a.m., the fifth-place game will be on the south field, and the third-place game will be on the north field.
The championship game will take place at 12:30 p.m. on the north field.
There will be a 1-hour, 45-minute time limit on the games.
