ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its list of qualifiers for the state cross county competitions which will take place Saturday at the Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs.
A total of 18 runners from the San Luis Valley will be at this year’s event.
In Class 3A, Alamosa High School qualified its entire boys team to the state meet. Competing for the Mean Moose boys will be sophomore Brody Artaechevarria, sophomore Cael Canaan, junior Jeremiah DeLaCerda, senior Tyler Dokson, freshman Ethan Merrick, senior Cody Williams, and senior William Wilson.
For the Lady Mean Moose, junior Victoria Gifford and senior Elizabeth McQuitty will run at state.
Centauri qualified only one runner to state in senior Carson Bagwell.
In Class 2A, only Del Norte will be represented in the state meet.
The Tigers qualified its entire boys team and their runners include freshman Landon Crowder, junior Corbin Horrocks, sophomore Mads Kreutzer, freshman Jax Lester, sophomore Cruz Matta, and senior Josiah Yocom.
The Lady Tiger qualifiers include sophomores Frannie Edelen and Madeline Mitchell.
The Class 3A girls meet begins at 9:40 a.m., and the Class 3A boys will run at 11 a.m. The Class 2A boys’ race will be at 1 p.m., and the girls will run at 2:20 p.m.
