Velasquez, Kaboom, Streetwyze seek input on outdoor play spaces

MONTE VISTA — Anika Velasquez, the Director of Kids Connection, along with Kaboom and Streetwyze are asking for community input on outdoor play spaces in Monte Vista.

Last year, a Kaboom grant helped revitalize Sanchez Park in Monte Vista, and this year play spaces that need to be updated are being looked at all over town.

Velasquez, Kaboom, and Streetwyze are requesting stories, pictures, opinions, as much information as possible from residents in Monte Vista.

People who live in apartment complexes with playgrounds in shared areas are especially encouraged to provide feedback and give input on these areas.

All play spaces in Monte Vista will be considered and looked at as well.

The information given will be used to help communicate the need for updated outdoor play spaces all over town.

Some of the questions being addressed about the play spaces include — What play spaces do you enjoy visiting and why? What play spaces do you dislike, and specifically why do you dislike the play spaces? If you could change anything at a specific play space, what would you change and why?

Community members are encouraged to visit connect.streetwyze.com and share their story, or Velasquez has said that she is willing to meet in person with community members who would rather share their stories in person.
