MONTE VISTA — The San Luis Valley REC annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 8, as an open house annual membership meeting with registration open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at REC’s office, 3625 Highway 160 W, Monte Vista.

The open house will allow for meeting and prize registration, as well as in-person voting.

The business meeting portion of the annual meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be hosted virtually. Register for the video link through REC’s website — www.slvrec.com/annual-meeting.

In addition, members can send questions by mail or email to be answered during the online meeting. All questions must be received at REC by Tuesday, June 8, noon. Email questions to [email protected]or mail to P.O. Box 3625, Monte Vista, CO 81144.

Annual report packets, including the ballot were mailed to members on May 5; ballots can be mailed in, returned to REC’s dropbox or brought to the June 8 open house membership meeting.

Candidate bios can be found online at slvrec.com/annual-meeting. In addition, the 2020 meeting minutes will need to be approved; vote for approval on the postage-paid postcard included with the annual report packet.

Qualified members who vote in person and register at the June 8 open house membership meeting will be eligible for prizes, which include a $250 bill credit, one-half beef, one-half pork and more.
