The City of Monte Vista received a request to change the direction of travel at the alley between Washington and South Broadway due to traffic congestion around the Nazarene Thrift Store. This traffic congestion produces some safety concerns. The city, effective Sept. 12, changed the alley to a “one way” with traffic only being allowed to travel from south to north exiting onto Highway 160. Traffic movements from Highway 160 into the alley are no longer allowed.
