Daniel Baker joins RG BANK as COO

MONTE VISTA — RG BANK welcomed Daniel Baker to the bank team. Baker started his role as Chief Operating Officer on June 1.

Baker began his banking career in 2011 working as a contractor to Bank of America. Due to Baker’s job being remote it afforded him the ability to move to the San Luis Valley to be closer to his parents. The majority of Baker’s career has been in management and customer service, and although it has been eclectic it has given him a solid understanding of the term servant leadership and how to apply that to the needs of the customer.

“We are excited to have someone of Daniel Baker’s character and someone with his experience join RG BANK,” said RG BANK President, Shon Davis. “He will move RG BANK forward in areas of IT, systems, facilities and many other areas.”

Baker graduated from the University of Phoenix with his MBA in 2012. His focus was on Project Management and Information Security Systems. He currently volunteers with Scouts BSA, including as Scoutmaster for Troop 307 for 9 years before stepping back and becoming the Chartered Organization Representative for troops 1307 and 307 as well as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 307.

Baker, his wife Amber, and their two children started a small hobby farm in 2016 where he spends his free time. He enjoys working with his family on projects around the farm, attending camping trips with the Scout Troops, and wandering in the mountains.

RG BANK has its headquarters in Monte Vista, with branches in Alamosa and Pagosa Springs. Baker joins RG BANK’s management team of Shon Davis, President and CEO; Danielle Anderson, Sr. V.P. and Chief Financial Officer; and, Brent Logan, Chief Lending Officer.
