Antonito
Neither Antonito team placed in this year’s meet.
Centauri
The Falcons placed seventh in the boys meet with 29 points. They were led by Isaiah Livingstone who on the 110-meter high hurdles in 22.91 seconds and was third in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 51.53.
Also placing for the Centauri boys were Sage Harmsen who was second in the 110 hurdles in 27.07, Levi Recinos who was fourth in the 300 hurdles in 52.64, and Caden Sykes who was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.22.
The Lady Falcons tied for eighth with 12 points. Their only placer was Ella Guymon who was second in the 1,600-meter run in 6:53.87 and fourth in the 800 in 2:57.60.
Center
The Vikings won the boys meet with 95 points. They were led by Caden Ruggles who won the 300 hurdles in 48.66 and the long jump at 17-11 ½.
Center had two more individual champions. Andree Meraz won the discus at 136-10 ½, and Buddy Wilson won the 1,600 in 5:15.69. Meraz was also fifth in the 100 in 12.72, and Wilson was also second in the 800 in 2:17.08, and third in the 200 in 56.97.
Anjel Palma placed in two events. He was fourth in the triple jump at 35-0 and fifth in the long jump at 16-4 ½.
Also placing for the Vikings were Yasnixan Padilla who was second in the long jump at 17-2 ½, Juan Garcia who was sixth in the triple jump at 31-5 ¼, and Kevin Tomas-Lopez who was sixth in the 800 in 2:43.55.
Center also placed second in three relays. It had a time of 48.15 in the 4x100, 1:41.53 in the 4x200, and 4:13.42 in the 4x400.
The Lady Vikings tied for fourth place with 48 points. Presley Wilson won two events as she took the discus at 98-0 ¼ and the shot put at 30-0 ½. The Center girls had four other multiple placers. Maya Swanson was third in the long jump at 11-5 and sixth in the 100 at 15.04. Nateli Pablo was fourth in the 400 in 1:17.13, fifth in the 800 in 3:14.23 and sixth in the 1,600 in 7:32.62. Dulce Palma was fourth in the 200 in 32.20 and fifth in the long jump at 10-10. Emiliana Valdez was fifth in the discus at 74-11 and fifth in the shot put at 26-0.
The Lady Vikings were also fourth in the 4x200 in 2:06.83.
Creede
The Miners tied for eighth in the boys meet with 24 points. Charlie Fairchild won the high jump at 5-6 and was third in the long jump at 17-1 ¼. Charlie Heinrich was second in the 300 hurdles in 49.17.
The Lady Miners placed sixth in the girls meet with 40 points. They were led by Jasmine Laing who won the 100 hurdles in 18.81 and the high jump at 5-0. Ava Mankowski was second in the shot put at 28-0, third in the 400 in 1:12.50 and third in the discus at 79-0.
Del Norte
The Tigers finished second in the boys meet with 93 points. They had three individual champions in Caleb Cowett who won the 400 in 55.15, Mads Kreustzer who won the 3,200 in 11:30.23, and Damon Ledford-Vigil who won the pole vault at 11-0.
Cowett was also third in the 1,600 in 5:30.83, and Ledford-Vigil was second in the 400 in 56.71.
Two more Tigers placed in two events. Jaxtin Lester was second in the 3,200 in 12:06.56 and fifth in the pole vault at 6-9, and Jose Pinon was third in the 800 in 2:36.90 and sixth in the 1,600 in 6:08.13.
Also placing for the Del Norte boys were Cruz Matta who was second in the 1,600 in 5:18.43, Wyatt VanZalinge who was second in the pole vault at 9-9, and Yalan Carrillo who was fifth in the 200 in 25.84.
The Tigers won the 4x400 in 4:10.84 and were fourth in the 4x200 in 1:47.03.
The Lady Tigers were third in the girls meet with 64 points. They were led by Baylie Laymon who won the long jump at 13-8 ½ and the pole vault at 5-4. She was also third in the 100 hurdles in 19.76.
Del Norte had two more individual champions. Frannie Edelen won the 3,200 in 13:56.37, and Madeline Mitchell won the 400 in 1:09.52. Mitchell was also third in the 800 in 2:52.87.
Also placing for the Lady Tigers were Haedyn Graham who was sixth in the discus at 66-5, and Jessamy Pacheco who was sixth in the 200 in 32.53.
Del Norte also won the girls 4x200 in 2:00.98.
Moffat
Moffat did not place in either meet.
Monte Vista
The Pirates took fourth in the boys meet with 58 points. Leading the way was Jeremiah McComas who won the triple jump at 38-1 and was third in the 200 in 25.48.
Also placing in more than one event were JohnJake Naranjo who was third in the discus at 104-7 and sixth in the shot put at 33-7, William Walker who was fourth in the 800 in 2:40.55 and fifth in the 1,600 in 6:00.33, and Darius Garcia who was fifth in the 400 in 1:00.15 and sixth in the long jump at 15-5.
Also placing for the Monte Vista boys were Jamian Martinez who was fourth in the 400 in 58.94, Kelby Mondragon who was sixth in the 100 in 12.72, and Mason Mondragon who was sixth in the discus at 89-9 ½.
The Pirates also won the 4x100 in 47.95 and the 4x200 in 1:40.08.
The Lady Pirates were second with 86 points. They had three individual champions in Elena Baumgardner who won the triple jump at 28-5 ½ and also fifth in the 200 in 32.22, Sasha Dupont who won the 100 in 14.31, and Kaliah Stucky who won the 300 hurdles in 1:02.23 and was second in the 100 hurdles in 19.73.
Hannah Henderhan also placed in two events. She was second in the discus at 80-10 ¼ and third in the shot put at 26-3 ½. Also placing for the Monte Vista girls were Lola Mott who was second in the 400 in 1:11.49, Anahi Murietta who was fourth in the 100 in 14.75, Madison Henderhan who was sixth in the shot put at 24-9 ½, and Catalina Rios who was sixth in the 400 in 1:36.13.
The Lady Pirates also won the 4x100 in 55.80 and were second in the 4x200 in 2:01.06.
Sanford
The Mustangs tied for eighth place with 24 points. They were led by Kaden Cary who was second in the 200 in 24.87 and tied for sixth in the high jump at 5-0. Huntley Duran was third in the 100 in 12.48, Bryce Keck who was third in the shot put at 34-6 ½ and sixth in the 200 in 25.88, Ryan Cordova who was fourth in the 100 in 12.68, and Kaulen Miller who was fourth in the long jump at 16-11 and tied for sixth in the high jump at 5-0.
The Sanford boys were also third in the 4x100 in 48.86 and fifth in the 4x200 in 1:47.26.
The Lady Mustangs tied for fourth with 48 points and were led by Erica Miller who won the 800 in 2:41.61. Also placing were Kasey Gylling who was third in the 100 in 14.71, Pepper Larson who was third in the 200 in 32.02, Rose Schwartz who was fourth in the long jump at 11-1, and Natalya Madril who was fifth in the 400 in 1:33.99.
In relay events, the Lady Mustangs were second in the 4x400 in 5:19.43, third in the 4x200 in 2:03.56 and fourth in the 4x100 in 1:09.11.
Sangre de Cristo
The host Thunderbirds finished third with 59 points and had two individual champions in Brody Artaechevarria who won the 800 in 2:13.21, and Anthony Trujillo who won the 100 in 12.33. Artaechevarria was also second in the triple jump at 35-7 ½, and Trujillo was also fourth in the 200 in 25.74 and fifth in the shot put at 34-1.
Also placing for the Sangre boys were Hayden Cleve who was third in the pole vault at 9-3, Asher Allington who was fourth in the pole vault at 7-9, and Joe Brown who was fourth in the discus at 99-7 ½ and fourth in the shot put at 34-3.
The Thunderbirds were third in the 4x200 in 1:43.43.
The Lady Thunderbirds tied for eighth with 12 points. Taylor Freel was fourth in the discus at 77-11 ¼ and fourth in the shot put at 26-0 ½, and Olyvia Wofford was fourth in the 100 hurdles in 20.75.
Sierra Grande
The Panthers took sixth in the boys meet with 32 points. Ayden Lopez, was third in the triple jump at 35-5 ½ and tied for second in the high jump at 5-4, and Jadyn Martinez tied for second in the high jump at 5-4 and was fifth in the triple jump at 33-1.
Also placing for Sierra Grande were Rolando Najera and Nehemiah Wilson, both of whom tied for second in the high jump at 5-4.
The Panthers were also fourth in the 4x100 in 50.34.
The Lady Panthers took seventh place with 25 points. Eneria Quintana was second in the high jump at 4-4 and second in the long jump at 13-5 ¾. Yazmin Molina was fifth in the 100 hurdles in 20.80, and Ahlea Garcia was sixth in the long jump at 10-8.
The Lady Panthers were third in the 4x100 in 1:01.10.
What’s next
Alamosa, Antonito, Center, Creede, Moffat, Monte Vista, Sanford, Sangre de Cristo and Sierra Grande will compete at the Salida Invitational on Saturday. Alamosa, Centennial, Del Norte will be at the John Tate Invitational at Dutch Clark Stadium on Friday. Del Norte will also be at the Abel Velasquez Invitational in Ignacio on Saturday.
