ALAMOSA - The All-Southwest League football team was released earlier this week with seven members of the Sierra Grande football team being recognized.
Leading the team is senior quarterback Aron Ojeda who was named the league’s Player of the Year.
Panthers named to the first team included junior Jadyn Martinez, junior Rolando Najera and junior Carlos Lopez.
Sierra Grande players named honorable mention include senior Ayden Lopez, senior Bryant Tijerina and sophomore Carlos Maestas.
Sierra Grande’s Luis Corona was named the Coach of the Year.
Antonito had one All-League selection in sophomore Lucas Cordova who was an honorable mention selection.
The rest of the All-League team includes five players from Branson/Kim which includes three first team players and two honorable mention, four from Primero including three first team players and one honorable mention, three from La Veta including two first team pleyers and one honorable mention, and two from Cotopaxi including one first team player and one honorable mention.
