NHSFR results as of Thursday morning

ALAMOSA – The National High School Finals Rodeo’s seventh performance was completed on Thursday morning at the Sweetwater Events Center in Rock Springs, Wyo.

Klayt Staudt of Saguache finished his performances in boys cutting on Wednesday. In his first performance on Wednesday morning, he compiled a score of 137 points which was 45th in the first go-round. In his second run, he scored 130 points which was 24th in the go as of Thursday morning. His total score of 267 points is 20th overall as of Thursday morning.

Staudt had his first run in team roping along with Rett Coors of Loveland on Tuesday morning. However, they did not record a time.

They had their second run on Thursday evening. The results were not available as of press time on Thursday.

Another Saguache performer, Rivers Hill, has her two barrel racing runs on Wednesday. In the morning, she had a time of 17.938 seconds which placed her 47th in the first go. Her second run of 22.846 seconds on Wednesday evening was 55th as of Thursday morning. Her total time of 40.784 was 48th overall as of Thursday morning.

Sanford’s Ben Sittler had his first bull ride on Tuesday morning. However, he did not receive a score.

His second ride was on Thursday evening.

The shooting results were not available as of Thursday morning. Sanford’s Alex Sittler is competing in both the trap shoot and the rifle shoot.

The rifle shoot first go was on Tuesday morning at the Green River Shooting range in Green River, Wyo., The trap shoot first go was on Thursday morning at the Sweetwater Trap Club in Rock Springs.

The NHSFR concludes with the shot go on Saturday night. The top 15 in each event will return for the short go.
