Nov. 19, 2021, on a cold winter night in Monte Vista, Colo., Henry “Kiki” Gilbert Naranjo, 79, was called home.
Kiki was born June 14, 1942, in Monte Vista, Colo., the son of John Andrew Naranjo and Jean Marie Ruybal Naranjo.
Kiki was a proud American, he served for many years as a Marine and in the Army. He worked for many years at the Monte Vista and Center police departments and worked for Rio Grande County transporting inmates.
Kiki enjoyed playing pool, cards, fishing, and most of all riding his motorcycle. He was the proud president of the local Monte Vista Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club. He was an avid gun collector and loved to fish and hunt.
Kiki is survived by one brother John Andrew Naranjo of Monte Vista, Colo., his children Warren (Laura) Naranjo of Alamosa, Colo., Mike (Heidi) Naranjo of Mesa, Ariz., Richard (Renee) Naranjo of Pueblo, Colo., and LaNay Naranjo of Monte Vista, Colo.; his grandchildren Warren Dean (Heather) Naranjo of Greely, Colo., Jared Naranjo (Marie) of Fort Collins, Colo., Michael (Nancy) Naranjo, Bridget (TJ) York, Zaiden Naranjo, Isacc Gallegos, and Elias Gallegos; as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Naranjo; two son’s Larry Naranjo and Phillip Naranjo; his siblings Sonny Naranjo, Patty Brink, Danny Naranjo, and Shirley Naranjo.
Cremation was chosen and a family viewing was held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
