ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its first rankings of the regular season on Monday with eight teams from the San Luis Valley being recognized.
In girls basketball, Centauri High School (8-0) is the No. 1 ranked team in Class 3A. Three more girls teams are in the Class 2A rankings as Sanford (7-2) is fourth, Center (7-2) is fifth and Sargent (4-2) is ninth.
In Class 4A, the Alamosa (6-1) girls team is ranked fifth.
In boys basketball, Centauri (8-0) is the 10th-ranked team in Class 3A, Sanford (6-3) is sixth in Class 2A, and Sierra Grande (5-2) is sixth in Class 1A.
