SLV COVID numbers continue to climb

8 deaths, 20-29 age group reporting most cases

SAN LUIS VALLEY – June 29 - The total number of cumulative cases in the SLV is now 420. There are currently 98 known active cases. Thirty-one total people have been hospitalized, and 314 have completed isolation. The Alamosa County Public Health Department announced an additional COVID-related fatality within the County bringing the total SLV deaths to eight. Mineral County had remained at two positive cases for weeks but during the past seven days has reported five new cases bringing the county’s total COVID-19 positive cases to seven. Saguache county remains third in the state for cases per 100,000 people and Alamosa county is now fifth in the state.


For Colorado the largest age group to have the highest number of cases is the 20-29 age group.
