ALAMOSA—Enjoy free music throughout the summer presented by the Alamosa Live Music Association. Sundays at Six continues on July 14 with SLV Big Band, which is proudly “keeping Jazz alive in southern Colorado.” Head on over to Cole Park at 6 p.m. and enjoy some quality live music right here in Alamosa.

Dedicated to bringing big band jazz to the San Luis Valley and beyond, The SLV Big Band is a non-profit group of community members that donate their time and talent to making the Rockies swing with jazz again. Members come from all walks of life, including current and retired directors, doctors, lawyers and more. The San Luis Valley Big Band has been committed to introducing big band jazz into the San Luis Valley and elsewhere, and for 14 years they have been touring southern Colorado and northern New Mexico providing concerts to those interested in Jazz music. The SLV Big Band supports the San Luis Valley Music Educators Program and encourages those students to make music their career.
