The Monte Vista Community Fund would like to thank everyone who donated to help the fire victims of the April 20 fire — $142,840 was raised. Those funds were distributed by check to the fire victims via certified mail on June 1.

Thank you again to everyone in the community for pulling together to help our neighbors. A special thank you to the City of Monte Vista, the Monte Vista Fire Department, Monte Vista Ambulance, the Monte Vista Police Department, the Department of Local Affairs, and all of the agencies that came together to give every form of assistance to our community. We are Monte Vista strong.
