Monte Vista Police Report for FEB 27thruMarch10

Feb. 27
Bobby Thacker, 37, Monte Vista, was arrested in the 400 block in the alley between Monroe St and Jackson Street without incident for a felony warrant out of RGSO
Javier Salazar, 36, Monte Vista, reported to the police department to re-register as a sex offender.
A report of a trespassing issue and attempted break in the 700 block of Lyell Street. Report taken.
Raymond Pacheco, 68, Alamosa was cited for driving under revocation.
MVPD was called to the 400 block of Jackson St, for two parties snorting pills.
 
Feb. 28
An abandoned vehicle was towed in the 400 block of Lyell St.
Carlos Valenzuela, 34, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for driving under restraint, failure to provide insurance, and speeding 5-9 over posted speed limit.
There was an abandoned vehicle that was towed in the 500 block of Ray St.
Horacio Naranjo, 50, Monte Vista, was transported to Detox after causing a disturbance in the 400 block of Madison Street.
Angel Lopez, 29, Monte Vista, was transported from Alamosa County Detention Center to Rio Grande County Jail for arrest warrants.
 
March 1
Alita Molash, 37, Monte Vista reported a theft in the 600 block of Morton Street.
Officers were dispatched to a two-car accident in the 100 block on S. Broadway. Maria White 74, Monte Vista, was cited for careless driving.
Ms. Sierra Utton, 21, Durango, report that she lost her wallet on the 1000 block of Park Ave.
 
March 2
Officers were dispatched to a physical altercation that occurred at 300 block Franklin Street in Monte Vista. A theft report was taken.
There was a walk in at the PD for a felony menacing, report filed.
Officers were advised of a hit and run in the 500 block of Dunham Street. A suspect vehicle has not been located at this time.
Monte Vista police officers were dispatched to the 10 block of Rickey Place regarding a domestic disturbance. Mr. Austin Jiron-Atencio, 18, Monte Vista, was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Underaged Marijuana).
 
March 3
There was a report of stolen property from the 800 block of Harrison St.
A 52-year-old male was transported to Crossroads Turning Points in Alamosa from a FI contact in the area of San Juan and N. Henderson Street.

March 4
Possible restraining order violation in the 700 block of Adams Street. Report taken.
MV PD advised of an altercation between residence at Monte Vista Estates.
MV PD took a report for a stolen chainsaw.

March 5
Yvonne Barela, 31, Monte Vista, was arrested for two active warrants, one out of Rio Grande County and one out of Alamosa PD.
MV PD took a report of shoplifting on the 2200 block of Grande Ave.
Bicycle theft in the 600 block of Adams St.
Officers received a 911 call for a possible disturbance in progress in the 500 block of 4th Ave. The disturbance took place in the 400 block of Calle Unida, approximately 30 minutes prior to the 911 call. Both parties declined to pursue charges at that time.
MV PD took a two car accident report at 4th Ave. and S. Broadway St. Wallace Gold, 86, Monte Vista was issued citation.

March 6
Robert Medina, 40, of Bailey summoned for speed and DUR.
officers were dispatched to the 10 block of Rickey Place, for a disturbance. Report filed.
Frank Morales, 39, Monte Vista, was taken into custody for a FTA warrant out of Rio Grande County Sheriff’s Office without incident in the area of Grand Avenue and Stallo Street.
Angelo Saenz, 19, Monte Vista was arrested on a Rio Grande County Warrant, in the area of 1000 block of 2nd Ave.

March 7
Officers took a report of a burglary in the 2000 block of Grande Ave.

March 8
Officers were flagged down in the 500 block of N. Henderson St. in reference to a possible Domestic Violence incident.
Officers responded to the 300 Block of East Prospect Ave. for a possible shooting. Incident deemed unfounded. Call in through RGSO dispatch.

March 9
Jason Samora, 39, Monte Vista, was arrested in the 1900 block of Sickles due to him having a felony warrant out of Alamosa County.
Officers located a stolen ATV in the 700 block of Clay.
MV PD took a report of a possible internet scam involving extortion. Forwarded to investigations.
Kelvin Vigil, 48, Alamosa, was taken to detox due to being intoxicated in public. This took place in in the 2000 block of Grande Ave. Report filed.
A citizen issued a traffic complaint against another driver for road rage.

March 10
Ms. Candace Aguirre, 31, Monte Vista, was issued a summons for “Driving without insurance” and “Failure to dim”
An unfounded harassment complaint in the 1200 2nd Ave. Report taken.
Shoplifting incident at Family Dollar (1300 block of US-HWY 160E). Suspect, Justin Valenzuela, 29, Monte Vista, has not been located at this time.
Monique Gonzales,26, Monte Vista was arrested on two warrants out of Alamosa Police Department in the 700 block of Jefferson St.
