Mini Med School planned

ALAMOSA—The CU Mini Med School is a free eight-week program via webinar in Alamosa. Participants will not get a medical degree nor can they practice medicine, but they will get the background, the overviews and the updates that can make all the pieces of the biomedical puzzle fall into place and if they attend at least five of the eight sessions, they will get a diploma.
The webinar will be held at TSJC Valley Campus Room 107 from 7–8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings: Sept. 5, 12 and 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and Nov. 7. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
Mini Med II covers topics such as Emergency Medicine, Diabetes Mellitus, Disaster Preparation in Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine with an Internist, Rheumatology, Cardiology and Palliative Medicine. Each presentation includes an hour on the evening’s topic, followed by a question-and-answer period.
The popular lecture series is a community service offered by the CU School of Medicine. Classes are held on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora and are seen by live video feed to sites around the state of Colorado. Registration is required in order to attend.
