HOMELAKE— Colorado Veterans Community Living Center at Homelake will host the annual Memorial Day Observance ceremony on Monday, May 27 at 10 a.m. at Homelake Cemetery, 3749 Sherman Ave., Monte Vista. The ceremony will include Honor & Color Guards, USS General Patrick Bell Tolling, Wreath Presentations and the Ft. Garland Memorial Regiment; keynote speaker will be retired Colonel William L. Robinson. Following the Observance, there will be a short dedication for the new wall that now displays the WWI and WWII plaques that list of the names of Rio Grande County veterans that served in those wars.
