The San Luis Valley Potato Festival proved to be a very successful fundraiser for Monte Vista boys basketball once again. We made a little over $2,700, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. Thanks to CPAC for the opportunity to provide baked potatoes and collect donations. Thank you to Olga Retana and the cooks at MVHS for the use of the kitchen and especially for baking the potatoes. Scott at Top Value was also huge for us and has been a huge supporter of our program. Safeway also did their part to help. Also we’d like to thank the restaurants who donated green chili and beans: Baldos, Dos Rios, Mountain View, Ninos and Taqueria y Antojitos Los Lopez. Thanks especially for all your help, our parents and players.
