ALAMOSA— This year’s elections promise to be exciting to say the least. Learn more about the candidates running for office at the San Luis Valley League of Women Voters startup meeting in Alamosa on Friday, Aug 31 from 10 a.m. to noon in the fireplace room of Sacred Heart Church, 726 3rd Ave. League members will share information on the bipartisan group’s work in Colorado. On Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the same church, the league will hold an educational session on the redistricting amendments Y and Z. On Saturday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m., the league will give a combined presentation at Bob’s Place in Crestone.
