MONTE VISTA—The Kiwanis Club of Monte Vista is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2019 crane quilt is Charlotte Thompson from Dolores, Colo.
This year’s quilt was designed, sewn and machine quilted by Raydene Plane, formerly a resident of Monte Vista, who now lives in Pueblo West.
The Kiwanis Club takes this opportunity to thank Raydene for her quilting talents and all of the people in the San Luis Valley and out of town visitors who supported the crane quilt raffle during the Crane Festival.
Proceeds from the raffle will go towards college scholarships for qualified Monte Vista High School Key Club seniors and for youth and community activities in the Monte Vista area.
