ALAMOSA— Duane Bussey, CEO of San Luis Valley Federal Bank, is pleased to announce that Jim Bowsher has rejoined the bank’s management team as vice president of IT and vendor management. He had worked for the bank from January 2012 to April 2019 as the bank’s technology service manager and had served the bank for many years prior to that as an IT consultant.

In early 2019, the bank outsourced its IT management to a third party so he returned to his business, Southern Colorado Computer Services, on a full time basis. However, due to a staff departure at the bank, a position opened that fit his skill set, making his return possible. He will be responsible for IT oversight and managing the bank’s many third party vendor relationships.

“We’re excited to have Jim back at the bank,” said CEO Duane Bussey. “He understands our culture and has in-depth knowledge of our IT systems and existing business partners.  He is also well liked by our staff and so easy to work with.  He will definitely strengthen our management team and the operations of the bank.”
Jim is a Valley native. He grew up in Center, graduated from Center High School and earned an Associates degree in Computer Electronics from Pueblo Community College. He has been active in the Monte Vista business community for many years with his wife and partner, Raina, of Southern Colorado Computer Services. He is a member of the Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with several community organizations and events. He and his wife reside in Monte Vista.
