DEL NORTE— The Alamosa Live Music Association is pleased to be hosting a Congolese and Afro-Cuban drumming and singing workshop at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 at Wildwood Sounds in Del Norte. This free workshop will be facilitated by professional percussionist Jeff Porter who has played with bands such as The Motet, Emmy Lou Harris and many more. Participants are welcome to bring their own drum however they may also participate by singing and using body percussion. This is an ALMA Creates program in collaboration with Denver’s Think360 Arts and Del Norte’s Wildwood Sounds. Wildwood Sounds is located at 850 Grande Avenue in Del Norte.
