MONTE VISTA--Del Norte resident Calista Jane Martin, 95, passed away Oct. 6, 2014 at the Colorado State Veterans Center in Monte Vista.
Calista Jane was born April 8, 1919 to John and Calista Trompen in Seattle, Wash. She married Charles Martin on Sept. 27, 1945 in Burbank, Calif. and enjoyed many years of happiness on the family ranch

DEL NORTE--Monte Vista resident Melvin A. Ehrlich, 97, died Oct. 9, 2014 at the Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte.
Melvin was born in Hitchcock, Okla. on March 4, 2014 the son of Jake and Rachel Ehrlich. He married Marie Opal Danielson in April of 1939 in Guthrie, Okla. She preceded him in death in 2003.
