Facilities Committee has recently submitted a second grant proposal to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) for completion of the athletic track after receiving recommendations from GOCO representatives on how to improve the new grant proposal in order to put it into a more favorable light for approval.
“A group of community members and staff put together a very positive proposal with a lot more support behind it,” said Superintendent Robert Webb. “There is also still one more opportunity to apply after this if we don’t receive a grant this round.” The committee is also looking at other grant opportunities that may be available.
The One-to-One Technology Committee gave an update on the Android based application Curriculum Loft for the new tablets the school district will be using. “It will allow teachers to upload and download without having to have internet access at home for the kids,” said Webb. “One of the main reasons we went with this system is it can’t be hacked.”
