Members of the Magnolia Society visited Bill Metz Elementary to present two iPads to students.

MONTE VISTAóGiving and supporting is what any solid community stands on.

As I look around the San Luis valley I am reminded of this daily. I see mothers giving to other mothers in need, I have watched a fellow citizen pay for anotherís groceries in the store this last year and I open the weekly paper to see that an organization is found supporting a need within the community.

On Sept. 10, I witnessed community support once again as the Magnolia Society presented two iPads with cases to the special education department at Bill Metz Elementary School in Monte Vista.

With funds left over from their annual dinner auction held this spring and golf tournament this summer, they made sure this need was at the top of their list.

iPads are continuously being used in classrooms to further the needs of students. The tablets have programs which help the children in a variety of ways.
