MONTE VISTAóThe Monte Vista City Council has agreed to suspend Monte Villa Innís liquor license after a minor was served alcohol on the premises.

The innís owner John Nelson agreed with the cityís decision and chose the suspension over paying a fine. Monte Villa Innís liquor license will be suspended for 10 days, but only three of those must be actively served within 30 days after the Sept. 9 decision. The remaining days will be held in abeyance for one year. As long as the bar does not violate regulations in that time, they will only have to close for three days.

Nelson is required to permanently post notice at his place of business informing customers of the suspension. He must also notify the city clerk as to when the suspension will take place
