DEL NORTE — Lifetime Del Norte resident Theodore (Ted) Yund, 64, aka “The Answer Man,” died peacefully at home and surrounded by loved ones on Nov. 26, 2012.
Ted was born July 6, 1948 in Del Norte to Harold and Grace Yund and is survived by his wife, Debra (Parr) Yund; his sons, Chez (Lisa and granddaughter, Amber) of Del Norte; Chev of Creede; Chay (Jenny and grandkids Acacia, Ayden and Alia); Cheb (Sonya and granddaughters Tristan and Kendra); a daughter, Cherise (Yund) Lyburger (Warren II and grandkids Warren III and Anne Marie from Los Angeles, Calif.); his brother, Bob (Stephanie) Yund of Del Norte and sister, Joyce (Yund) Harbour of Montana; stepsons, Scott (Jess and grandkids Brittany, Katelyn and Brayden) of Castle Rock, Colo.; Dusty Parr of Alamosa, Colo.; and stepdaughter, Marcie (Parr) Holland (Eric and grandkids, Taylor, Courtney, Brandon, Jaylee and Kade) of Alamosa.
Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he was an amazing husband, supportive father, dedicated brother, fun-loving grandfather and caring friend. always willing to listen, share his expertise and unselfishly lend a hand whenever needed.
