GUNNISON — Molly Tyler White, 41, of Gunnison, Colo. died Nov. 23, 2012 at her home, due to complications from past injuries sustained on her job with the Colorado State Patrol.
Molly was born Dec. 27, 1970, in New Mexico. She was a police dispatcher in New Mexico for several years before moving to Monte Vista to be a dispatcher for the Monte Vista P.D. She was also a dispatcher and jailer for the Rio Grande County Sheriff’s office.
Molly’s greatest career accomplishment was being an 11-year veteran and range instructor with the Colorado State Patrol. She loved being a trooper and worked hard to make it through the academy.
Before Molly injured her back on the job in January 2007, her biggest goal was to someday work for the FBI. She prided herself on being very fair but firm, both on and off patrol.
Molly loved her kids more than anything in the world and loved being a mother, along with being a wife to her husband, Loren, for 10 years.
She also loved camping, fishing, her five dogs and one cat, all animals, spending time with her kids, shopping, jewelry, drinking coffee and eating pie.
Survivors include her husband, Loren White, and their four children, Dustin (19), Dominique (14), Trinity Jo (7) and Jacob Michael (6); family-in-law members, Ferminia and the late Trinidad White of Gunnison, Donald and Trish White of Gunnison, Amee and Josh McDougal of Denver, Colo., Angela and Josh Miller of Gunnison, Jared White of Arizona, Isabel and Will Thibaut of Louisiana, Joey and Abbie Thibaut of Louisiana, Harold White of Gunnison, Veronica and Mike Marquez of Gunnison and Josh & Brandy Marquez of Gunnison; family members Sally and Narsiso Rodriguez of Del Norte, Telly Sandoval of Del Norte, Rene & Joel Rosales of Del Norte, Narsiso Rodriguez Jr. and Christina Rodriguez of Del Norte, David and Mary Nacasoni of Los Angeles, Calif., Tony Acosta of Del Norte, Barney Barco of Lubbock, Texas, Ramona Silvey of El Paso, Texas, Anastasia Barco-Caby and a niece and a nephew of El Paso, Macey Holland of Palisade, Colo., JoAnn Aguilar of Del Norte, Laura Thomas of Douglas County and Darren and Tiffany Barnes of Monte Vista, Colo.
The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 400 West Georgia Ave in Gunnison. The Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the same church.
