Loretta June Rowe, 79

MONTE VISTA— Loretta June Rowe, 79, of Monte Vista died Sept. 8, 2012, at the Juniper Village in Monte Vista.

She was born March 20, 1933 in Parnell, Mo. the daughter of Orlie and Elma Miller Stutesman.

Loretta worked for more than 20 years as the assistant city clerk for the city of Monte Vista.

In her early years, she dispatched for the police, fire, ambulance and state patrol and, for a time, was deputized by the Rio Grande County Sheriff to assist with the women that were brought in by that department.

Loretta loved her friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to country music, dancing and watching the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies games on television. She also loved her animals.

Her parents and her brother, LeRoy Stutesman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Doug) Jones and Becky (Rich Ruybal) Burger, both of Monte Vista; her grandchildren, Rick Burkhalter, Morgan Jones and Dylan Burger; her brothers and sister, Roberta Batchelder of Highland Ranch, Colo., Ron (Nancy) Stutesman of League City, Texas, Bob (Gayle) Stutesman of Westminster, Colo., and Terry (Kris) Stutesman of Thornton, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista.

Interment be in the Monte Vista Cemetery.
