SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Herman Sisneros, 71, former San Luis Valley resident, died Nov. 3, 2012 at Pioneer Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born on May 10, 1941 in Las Tablas, N.M. to Feliberto and Ramona Sisneros.
Herman enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cards, dominoes, cars, handball and comedy shows. He had a great love for life, family, and friends. He was kind, generous, and non-judgmental, always willing to lend a helping hand. His amazing, sense of humor and quick wit were loved by all who crossed his path.
His parents, Feliberto and Ramona; stepmother, Pilar; sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Silver, Walter, Bennie and Mel preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Julia; children, Herman Jr., Liz (James), Elaine (Pat), Glenn, Frank, Rick (Monica) and Roberta (Keith), all of Salt Lake City; Irene (Robert), Carlsbad, Calif., Dominic and Christina of Monte Vista, Colo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren ; sisters; Rosie (Ernie) Rivas, San Clemente, Calif., Christine Sisneros and Mary Sisneros, Alamosa, Colo., Bernadette (Anthony) Archuleta , Durango, Colo., Liz Sisneros, Taos, N.M., brothers; Max Sisneros, Fountain Valley, California, Porfie Lopez, Manassa, Colorado, Manuel (Becky) Sisneros, Alamosa, Colo., Ernest (Arlen) Sisneros, Antonito, Colo., Ross Sisneros, Greg (Louise) Sisneros, Center, Colo., Richard (Liz) Sisneros, Farmington, N. M. numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Bert, of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Cremation was chosen, but a memorial and viewing service were held Thursday, Nov. 8, at Starks Funeral Parlor in Salt Lake City, Utah.
