SOUTH FORK – The estimate for funding needed for emergency stabilization in the West Fork and Papoose burn areas has been completed by the BAER team.
The total amount requested for the proposed projects is $486,129. Most of that amount, $357,574, would be used for road and trail system storm proofing; such as culvert removal, addition or reinforcement to prepare for possible flash flooding.
The second highest amount is in the areas of public safety, including trail closures, recreational area closures and heritage area site protection signs, and totals $58,814.
