MONTE VISTA — Investigation is continuing into an armed bank robber who took an undetermined amount of cash from a local bank and then fled on foot
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Nov.29, officers from the Monte Vista Police Department were called to the Community Bank, 59 North Broadway Street, regarding an apparent aggravated robbery.
Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that a black male entered the bank, pointed a handgun one of the tellers and demanded money.
The suspect was dressed in an orange helmet with a “CDOT” logo, tan jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, along with a white towel or handkerchief around his face. No further physical description or direction of travel is available. Preliminary photos were made available to the press and additional photographs showing greater detail will be released when they become available.
