McAuliffe resigns as head coach, math teacher
MONTE VISTA — At the Sept. 13 Monte Vista Board of Education meeting, it was announced that the High School Cornerstone Setting Ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the front of the high school.
Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony.
Resignations
The board accepted the retirement resignation of Terri Barbosa as a Marsh paraprofessional.
Also accepted were the resignations of Jim McAuliffe as HS math/PE teacher and head football coach, Steven Roedersheimer as MS math teacher, Josephine Hernandez as food service employee, and Lynnette Witt Marino as BME paraprofessional.
Employment
The board employed Diane Ogg as a MS math teacher; Ashly Arroyo as a BME Title I paraprofessional; Elizabeth Doyle Kelly as a custodian; Marcos LeBlanc as a high school assistant marching band coach; Charles Losee as a Special Ed paraprofessional; Ashley Pacheco as a HS assistant volleyball coach; Bernice Sigala as a food service employee and Lyndsie Smalley as a bus driver.
Also approved were Cimarrona Kelly as a certified guest teacher, Phillip Mackey and David Warren as TypeV guest teachers, both pending receipt of authorization, and Delicia Naranjo as a classified guest employee in food service.
TCAP scores.
Principals reviewed TCAP scores with the board and gave their synopsis and plan to address the major concerns.
Building projects
Superintendent Jim Webb gave updates on the building projects and reported that the certificate of substantial completion has been received.
Action items
The board approved an operating agreement with BOCES concerning Exceptional Student Services, a lease with the Boys and Girls Club for the use of a building located on North Broadway for storage, and a memorandum of understanding with the SLV Consortium for Race to the Top grant.
Other items
The board approved minutes of the previous meeting, July financial reports, and several policy revisions.
Next meetings
The next regular board meeting was scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11.
