'Batman,' two locals win rally drawings

MONTE VISTA — “Batman,” a biker from Colorado Springs, bought a ticket just in time for Friday night’s $1,000 drawing and walked off with some spending money as the first big Rally in the Valley incentive drawing was held.

On Saturday, Matthew Deacon of Monte Vista wasn’t present, but was the holder of the lucky ticket for the second $1,000 incentive drawing.

Then, Saturday night, State Rep. Ed Vigil drew the winning ticket for the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic and announced that the lucky winner was Jay Widger, of Monte Vista.
